"What Happens At Night" is an adaptation of Peter Cameron's 2020 ghost story novel of the same name. The story follows an unnamed American couple who travel to an unfamiliar European city to adopt a child, checking into a desolate and eerie hotel. The hotel is home to a host of enigmatic characters, from an aging chanteuse and a philandering businessman to a mysterious and charismatic faith healer. Beneath the surface, both the hotel and its guests seem to harbor untold secrets. As the couple's adoption efforts face increasing obstacles, they find themselves increasingly adrift, questioning their marriage, their identities, and their understanding of life itself.
