The TV anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's manga, Dandadan, has been a massive hit, earning rave reviews from fans for its stellar production and gripping storyline. Season 2 wrapped up this past September.
During today's (12/21) Jump Festa 2026 stage event, it was officially announced that "Dandadan" Season 3 is set to premiere in 2027! A brand-new teaser visual was also unveiled, confirming that the original production team at Science SARU will be back at the helm.
Season 1 of "Dandadan" (October–December 2024) snagged the top spot for average overall viewership in its time slot and racked up awards internationally, even hitting #2 on Netflix's Global Top 10 (Non-English TV) for the week. Then, the Season 2 (July–September 2025) theatrical pre-screening soared to #8 at the US box office, drawing in even more fans. The news of Season 3's production was dropped simultaneously with the Season 2 finale, and fans have been eagerly waiting ever since.
Based on the official teaser visual, it looks like the anime will be diving into the "Bamora Arc," featuring an epic alien showdown from the original manga. This arc is packed with intense battle scenes, and given Science SARU's incredible work on the first two seasons, expect nothing less than maximum impact.
Especially intriguing is the "cosmic monster-clad" girl in the visual, who is likely to become a pivotal character in the story, making the anticipation for this new arc even higher!
