During today's (12/21) Jump Festa 2026 stage event, it was officially revealed that both titles are slated for a 2027 release! Fans also got a fresh PV, featuring new animation keyframes, alongside a brand-new "Warm-Up Visual."
"Haikyuu!! The Movie: VS Little Giant" (working title: 劇場版ハイキュー!! VS 小さな巨人) is the highly anticipated sequel to "Haikyuu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump." Director and screenwriter Susumu Mitsunaka returns to helm the project, with animation handled by the acclaimed Production I.G.
The film will follow Karasuno High as they battle their way through the Miyagi Prefecture qualifiers and into the third round of the Spring High Tournament, setting the stage for the epic "Little Giant Showdown" between Shoyo Hinata and Korai Hoshiumi against Kamomedai High.
