Yoshifumi Tozuka's "Undead Unluck" Anime Gets Season 2! The Negators' Battle Heats Up!

Yoshifumi Tozuka's hit manga series, "Undead Unluck," made its anime debut from October 2023 to March 2024, earning rave reviews for its compelling story and stellar animation.

After the special "Undead Unluck: Winter Arc" aired late last night (12/25), the official announcement dropped: Season 2 of the anime is officially in production! To celebrate, creator Yoshifumi Tozuka himself drew a brand-new illustration. While the premiere date is still under wraps, fans are already buzzing!

"Undead Unluck" ran in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2020 to 2025, concluding with 27 collected volumes. The first anime season was produced by David Production.

The story kicks off with Fuuko Izumo (Unluck), who, fed up with constantly bringing misfortune to those around her, decides to end it all. But then, a mysterious, naked man named Andy (Undead) appears, also seeking to use her unlucky ability to finish himself off. When neither can successfully die, they decide to try again elsewhere. However, their plans are interrupted by pursuers from the "UNION" organization, who aim to bring them in. The series then plunges into the high-stakes battles of these super-powered individuals, known as "Negators."

With its expansive world-building, cleverly laid out plot points, and fast-paced, high-tension developments, "Undead Unluck" has captivated a massive fanbase.

The announcement for the anime's second season came as a "follow-up report" right after the "Winter Arc" episode concluded. The commemorative illustration released alongside the news features the character Shen Ciane, staring forward with an intense, sharp gaze.

Given the series' soaring popularity and its status as a Jump hit, it's likely we won't have to wait too long for more Season 2 details. Stay tuned for official updates!
