James Cameron is famously known in Hollywood as a demanding director with a fiery temper, earning him the nickname "Iron Jim" or "Scary Jim." Sigourney Weaver, who recently collaborated with Cameron on upcoming "Avatar" projects, recounted a conflict during the filming of "Aliens" 39 years ago in an interview with The New York Times.

Weaver recalled an incident where a young actress struggled with a prop, which reportedly infuriated Cameron, leading him to erupt in a tirade. Witnessing this, Weaver immediately stepped in to confront Cameron. She stated, "I slowly walked up to him and said, 'You know, when you yell at one actor, you yell at all of us, so understand that what she was doing was difficult, and maybe you could shoot something else while she adapts to the way you want her to perform.'" Weaver added, "He's a good guy, and I really think Jim is much milder-tempered now."

Weaver also mentioned that Cameron is quite easygoing off-set. She explained that he is not like that when he is directing, noting his great sense of humor. However, she understood why he couldn't show his true nature during the production of "Aliens," as the filming process was incredibly challenging, especially for him. She quipped, "Let's just say: I'm glad I didn't continue to shoot 'The Abyss' with him."
