Sadie Sink on "Spider-Man: Brand New Day": Plot Secrecy Even Tighter Than "Stranger Things" Final Season

As "Stranger Things" officially heads towards its conclusion, lead star Sadie Sink is quickly moving on to her next major project, confirmed to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

In a recent interview with a foreign media outlet, Sadie Sink revealed that Marvel's information control for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is even more stringent compared to the plot secrecy surrounding the final season of "Stranger Things," making the secrets she holds "even more unspeakable."

Sink stated that she first learned about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe while filming the fifth and final season of the Netflix series "Stranger Things." She described the moment as "insane" and admitted she has always been a loyal fan of Spider-Man, particularly fond of Tom Holland's portrayal. For Sink, transitioning from a fan to being part of a project is not new, as she was drawn to "Stranger Things" even before joining its cast.

This collaboration also holds deep emotional significance for Sadie Sink. She mentioned that director Destin Daniel Cretton had previously worked with her on an important early project when she was 14. Reuniting now, she feels like she's "come full circle" and described the entire filming process as very enjoyable.

Official details regarding Sadie Sink's role in the film have not yet been disclosed. She will join "The Bear" actress Liza Colón-Zayas as new additions to the franchise.

Furthermore, discussing her future casting choices, Sadie Sink stated that she isn't limited to specific genres but rather prioritizes roles that offer a challenge. She emphasized her desire to explore various facets of her acting identity while still young. While she also yearns for lighter comedic roles, she currently finds herself drawn to darker, more demanding characters.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is slated for release on July 31, 2026. With Sadie Sink's addition, anticipation and speculation for the new film continue to mount.
