But here's some exciting news: the series is teaming up with "Butler Glasses eyemirror," a Japanese eyewear brand renowned for its anime IP collaborations. They're bringing to life the round-frame glasses worn by the formidable chief maid, "Roberta"—also known as the "Florence Hound"—with none other than creator Rei Hiroe himself overseeing the design! These bad boys will retail for 18,700 JPY and drop on January 10th.
BLACK LAGOON first debuted as a short story (Chapter 0) in the April 2001 issue of Shogakukan's "Monthly Sunday Gene-X," officially beginning its serialization in the May 2002 issue. And yes, it's still going!
Roberta, the chief maid in the series, is arguably the most terrifying opponent Rock and Revy have ever faced. She typically appears in a traditional maid outfit, complete with glasses, but she's packing enough firepower to level an entire building, earning her the chilling nickname "killer robot from the future."
The frames themselves feature a sophisticated, understated silver with a delicate matte brushed finish, making them stylishly versatile for anyone. While seemingly simple at first glance, the frame edges boast intricate texture details inspired by Roberta's signature three-braid hairstyle.
