The anime adaptation of the rice-farming RPG, "Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin"—dubbed Japan's "Rice Riot of Reiwa"—premiered in 2024. This rice-centric title wasn't just recommended in a video by Japan's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; it even appeared in the anime's end credits as a collaborating entity, a rare feat for a government-endorsed work.
Now, the game has announced a collaboration with Japanese kitchenware brand "Mura no Kajiya" to release a line of co-branded merchandise, including a one-go wooden measuring cup, a hagama pot, a scythe, and a hoe. Get ready to farm just like the characters in the game! These items perfectly recreate the in-game farming essentials and are now available for pre-order.
"Mura no Kajiya" specializes in artisan-forged kitchenware, offering everything from pots and pans to knives for cooking enthusiasts. Hailing from Sanjo City, "Mura no Kajiya" and its sub-brand "TSBBQ" are also known for their stainless steel camping gear. They've even partnered with "Delicious in Dungeon" in the past to release kitchen-themed goods.
This collaboration, centered around the "grow stronger by farming rice" Japanese-style action RPG anime "Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin," features four practical items that perfectly fit the game's world. The lineup includes a one-go wooden measuring cup, a hagama pot, a scythe, and a hoe. Each item is engraved with the series logo and an illustration of Sakuna, making them a must-have for fans. If you love "Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin" and are serious about your cooking, how can you not be tempted by this?
