Last September, renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman exclusively revealed on his Patreon page that Brendan Fraser was in discussions with Universal Pictures to return for a fourth "The Mummy" film. Just over a month later, Universal not only confirmed the news but also announced that Rachel Weisz, star of the first two installments, was set to return. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the directing duo behind "Scream" V and VI, are slated to helm the fourth film.

Today, Richtman further added that Universal also intends to bring Dwayne Johnson back to star in a new "The Scorpion King" film, and potentially add him to the cast of "The Mummy 4." Universal is reportedly open to even a cameo appearance. Given that Richtman's previous report about Fraser's return was confirmed, the credibility of this new report regarding Johnson's return is considered very high.
In fact, this isn't the first time Johnson has been rumored to return to "The Scorpion King" recently. Last October, another well-known entertainment scooper, MyTimeToShineHello, also reported that Johnson was in talks for a comeback. Now, with Richtman's latest report, it's almost certain that these plans are actively in motion.
