Even 30 years after its TV anime debut, the ever-popular Neon Genesis Evangelion continues to churn out collaborations, a testament to its enduring appeal.
Recently, the iconic anime announced a new partnership with electronics giant Panasonic, unveiling the collaborative "General-Purpose Separable Vacuum Cleaner MC-EVA01." This 30th-anniversary commemorative model is designed with the EVA Unit-01 in mind, priced at 88,990 JPY, and currently available for pre-order at the EVA STORE.
Inspired by EVA Unit-01, the vacuum meticulously recreates its overall design and color scheme. It also features a collaboration-exclusive "Awakening Mode," which uses frequency control to play music and other unique sound effects during operation! This patented Panasonic technology allows the vacuum to play music by controlling the frequency of the brush head motor.
Upon activation, it plays the BGM melody "THE BEAST II," heard during Unit-01's awakening, with a maximum output duration of five minutes.

Beyond the Unit-01 color scheme, the vacuum boasts EVA-exclusive elements throughout its design. Its separable construction also makes storage a breeze.
Dust collected by the stick vacuum automatically gathers in the "Clean Dock" after each cleaning. This means you only need to empty the bin approximately every 3.5 months! Grab it whenever you need a quick clean.
Purchases include an exclusive instruction manual, a special outer box, and replaceable paper filters.
The first batch of 2,015 limited-edition units will each come with a mini model of the collaboration vacuum. You can customize it with your favorite unit color stickers! The model is approximately 7 cm long, perfect for your existing figures to wield. The nameplate on the inside of the main unit will be engraved with a unique serial number from 0001 to 2015.
