"Neon Genesis Evangelion," still riding high on popularity 30 years after its TV anime debut, continues to churn out epic collaborations.
Recently, the series teamed up with electronics giant Panasonic, dropping a "General-Purpose Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner" and a "Rechargeable Mini Electric Screwdriver" that got everyone talking. But wait, there's more! They've also unveiled a "Collab LED Desk Lamp," available in both Unit-01 and Unit-02 designs. Priced at 33,000 JPY, you can pre-order it now at the EVA STORE.
Inspired by the two iconic EVAs from "Neon Genesis Evangelion," these LED desk lamps boast meticulous color separation and paintwork, offering special color schemes for both Unit-01 and Unit-02.
From the "Umbilical Cable"-style power cord protector to other intricate details, this entire collaboration is packed with exclusive specs. Let this LED desk lamp stand guard over your workspace!
It features Panasonic's exclusive "PC Screen Clear Light" technology, which suppresses bluish-white light and enhances black contrast, alongside a "Text Clear Light" that combines optimal color temperature (approx. 6200K) and brightness. Plus, with six movable joints, you can fine-tune the angle, and its overall silhouette mimics the iconic forward-leaning stance of an EVA.
The casing and base are decked out with design elements from both Unit-01 and Unit-02, immersing your home or office in the full EVA worldview — pure awesomeness!
The power cord, which plugs into the back of the lamp, can be fitted with a special collaboration protector designed to look like an EVA Umbilical Cable.
And get this: the packaging features special illustrations of Shinji and Asuka in their plugsuits, complete with a 30th-anniversary commemorative emblem!
