As many know, the Russo Brothers, who initially stepped away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after directing "Avengers: Endgame," were ultimately brought back by Marvel Studios to helm "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars." With "The Kang Dynasty" already wrapped and "Secret Wars" preparing to begin production, new reports suggest the Russo Brothers have been entrusted with even more significant responsibilities.

The popular industry insider podcast "The Hot Mic" recently exclusively revealed that Marvel is considering splitting "Secret Wars" into two parts for its theatrical release. Concurrently, renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman added that Marvel will await the box office performance of "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" before making a final decision on whether to divide "Secret Wars."

Meanwhile, X platform film insider MyTimeToShineH also reported that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hopes the Russo Brothers will be deeply involved in the next saga's storyline and direct more films beyond just the "Avengers" franchise.

Additionally, Richtman's report included a separate, unrelated tidbit: industry rumors are once again circulating about a new solo Scarlet Witch spin-off project in development, which is expected to connect with the upcoming "X-Men" reboot and other mutant-related productions.
