Slated for a May production start, the film boasts a significant budget of approximately $80 million, a considerable sum for an independent feature. International distribution rights were secured at the ongoing European Film Market in Berlin, while Black Bear Pictures will manage U.S. distribution. Alison Flierl, known for co-writing the "School Of Rock" TV series, is credited with the screenplay.

This project marks the second collaboration between Leitch and Statham, who previously worked together on "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw."
