Voice actress Sumire Uesaka, known for her popular roles as Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou in "The Neighboring Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian," Nagatoro Hayase in "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro," and Agnes Digital in "Uma Musume Pretty Derby," has been a fan favorite.
Today (March 11), in a surprise announcement, she revealed her crossover participation in the "GRAND PRINCESS '26" event for Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, immediately sending ripples across the internet.
"GRAND PRINCESS '26" is a major annual event for Japanese women's wrestling. To amp up the excitement, this year's event isn't just featuring pro wrestlers; it's also bringing in strong female contenders from other fields. Among the most intriguing participants are voice actress Sumire Uesaka and Harajuku Gakuen idol group member Momoko Sato.
The match they'll be competing in is a hilariously chaotic special bout: the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship "Time-Difference Entry Battle Royale." While not a traditional wrestling match, it promises plenty of fun and competitive action.
Regarding her sudden entry, Uesaka humorously commented, "I just happened to pick up a mysterious sword, and the next thing I knew, my participation was already decided. Wh-what in the world happened?! Anyway, I'll do my best!"
Fans affectionately call Uesaka "Commissar," and many are undoubtedly eager to see what kind of performance she'll deliver in the wrestling ring. XD
