In a wild turn of events, the model who served as the original inspiration for *Tsukihime*'s heroine, Arcueid Brunestud, has been found—and Amanda Dyer recently shared photos on X in an "homage to Arcueid," sending fans into a frenzy.
The story behind Arcueid's design goes way back. In 2001, character designer Takashi Takeuchi mentioned that when he designed Arcueid in 1996, he was inspired by a foreign woman on a magazine cover. However, he only ever showed a small crop of the cover, and even he didn't know the model's identity, turning it into an urban legend within the fandom for years.
That all changed in September 2024, when overseas fans finally tracked down the full magazine and confirmed the cover model was Amanda Dyer, a Canadian model who was working in Japan at the age of 15.

She explained that she first learned she was the character's inspiration through a Facebook message: "It was pretty mind-blowing to know that this character and this story had been existing in a parallel world without my knowledge." The discovery led her to dive into the world of *Tsukihime* and TYPE-MOON's works, and she quickly became a fan.

Recently, Amanda Dyer posted a photo wearing an outfit she put together from her own wardrobe, capturing Arcueid's simple yet elegant style. In her post, she wrote, "Sometimes art imitates life. Sometimes life leans into it."
Arcueid's outfit is famously simple and has a strong everyday feel, leading many fans to joke, "Of course the original model would have something similar in her closet!"
