Buronson's original story and Tetsuo Hara's artwork brought us the iconic Japanese manga, "Fist of the North Star," a series that's now over 40 years old. And guess what? A brand-new anime, titled "Fist of the North Star -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-," is officially in the works!
Yesterday (March 12), the official announcement dropped: the new "Fist of the North Star -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-" anime is set to kick off its broadcast and streaming run on April 10. They also unveiled the voice cast, a fresh new trailer, and details on the theme song!
The original "Fist of the North Star" anime first aired from 1984 to 1987, followed by a second TV anime in 1987. Then, in 2003, we got three episodes of "New Fist of the North Star"—all quite a while ago!
This new series marks the first anime installment in a whopping 18 years since the 2008 theatrical film, "Fist of the North Star: Legend of Raoh – Chapter of Death in Love." A completely new production team and voice cast are on board, ready to faithfully capture the manga's essence using the latest animation tech.

The official word is that the new anime will premiere on April 10 and will also be available on Prime Video. Japanese rock band Alexandros will perform the opening theme, a new song called "Hallelujah," which you can get a taste of in the latest PV. For fans who've been waiting for "Fist of the North Star" to make its long-awaited comeback, this is definitely one to look forward to!
