Norio Sakurai's hit manga, The Dangers in My Heart, has already graced our screens with two anime seasons and even a theatrical film this year, racking up some serious popularity points.
Today (March 14), the official word dropped: The Dangers in My Heart anime is officially getting a third season, slated for a 2027 premiere! To celebrate, character designer Masato Katsumata even whipped up a special commemorative illustration.
The first season hit airwaves in April 2023, followed by season two in January 2024. Season two even snagged "Best 2D Animation" at the 29th Asian Television Awards in Singapore, sparking massive buzz and rave reviews both in Japan and internationally.
And let's not forget the theatrical film, which also premiered this year to great acclaim in both Taiwan and Japan.
The newly revealed commemorative illustration is pure genius: Ichikawa and Yamada are snuggled up, their poses cleverly forming the number "3" for the anime's third season. Yamada flashes her usual bright, radiant smile, while Ichikawa sports a shy, slightly awkward grin. The whole vibe just screams that sweet, youthful romance the series is known for.

"Everyone! Season 3 of The Dangers in My Heart anime is officially happening! I'm truly grateful for all your warm support, and for the hard work of every single voice actor and staff member on the production team. My heartfelt thanks go out to all of you. Honestly, I never imagined the series would get a third season, so I actually wrapped up the story quite nicely in Volume 8 of the manga (laughs). Looking back, it's a fun memory. From here on, their world will continue to slowly become even more wonderful, and I'm really looking forward to seeing that day myself."
While The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 is tentatively set for a 2027 broadcast, fans can eagerly await more official updates. Given the stellar production quality of the first two seasons, there's no doubt the third will brilliantly capture the manga's charm once again!
