Launched in May 2021, the battle RPG mobile game "My Hero Academia ULTRA IMPACT," based on the popular anime "My Hero Academia," will cease service. Bandai Namco Entertainment officially announced today (March 17) that both the Japanese and global versions will conclude service on May 18, 2026. The company also announced a "Final Thanks Festival" event, bringing an end to approximately five years of game operation.

"My Hero Academia ULTRA IMPACT" was marketed as a battle RPG where heroes unleash their full "Quirks." Players could train their favorite characters and form 3v3 teams for casual "Quirk Battles."
The game launched on May 31, 2021, and its service will officially end on May 18, 2026, after nearly five years of operation.

The official announcement also detailed the upcoming schedule: Sales of paid currency "Hero Gems" have ceased, and subscription plans will end on March 17. Purchased Hero Gems can still be used until the service concludes.
Regarding refunds, the official statement indicates that detailed procedures will be announced after May 18. Players are advised not to delete the game app before refund completion to avoid affecting their application.
To coincide with the service shutdown, the official team is launching the "Hirotora Finale Campaign" (Final Thanks Festival):
Daily free 10-pull gacha
Past event stories that players missed will also be made available for review through updates.

"My Hero Academia ULTRA IMPACT" is currently the only mobile game based on "My Hero Academia," and many fans played it for its numerous new themed character illustrations to collect.

It's certainly tough for mobile games to survive long-term these days. Even with a strong IP, it ultimately comes down to whether players can sustain the operation.
