CAPCOM’s massively popular game series, Resident Evil, needs no introduction. With the 11th installment, "Resident Evil 9: Requiem," hitting shelves this February, the franchise is also celebrating a monumental 30th anniversary this year!
To mark the occasion, Capcom has officially announced a special 30th-anniversary exhibition. This epic retrospective will trace the series' evolution from its 1996 debut all the way to its latest entry. The exhibition is slated to kick off on March 22, 2026, at the "CAPCOM CONNECT SPACE" in Osaka, which first opened its doors last year.
According to officials, the exhibition is designed to offer a concentrated, immersive journey through Resident Evil's entire legacy. It's expected to hit all the right nostalgic notes for long-time fans and serve as the perfect crash course for newcomers looking to catch up on the iconic series.
Beyond a comprehensive historical overview spanning from the original game to the newest title, the event will feature a stunning "Art & Logo Grand Wall Display," showcasing 30 years of the series' most iconic visuals. Think of it as a super-concentrated highlight reel of everything that makes Resident Evil legendary.
A brand-new key visual has also been unveiled, featuring beloved characters from across the series, all rendered in fresh, dynamic artwork. Talk about a stylish tribute!
The exhibition will be held at "DIVE! CAPCOM," located within the CAPCOM CONNECT SPACE. This venue is Capcom's first experiential entertainment hub, which launched in Osaka in July 2025, offering a variety of game-related facilities alongside exhibition spaces.
