Issued by Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the "ARTIST SUPPORT ITEM" series, created specifically for artists or aspiring artists, has, following the highly acclaimed "Hand Model/Right Hand", once again announced the latest product in male hand molds: "Hand Model MEN’S/L -WHITE, GRAY". The suggested retail price is 15,400 JPY each, with an anticipated release in September 2026!
The "ARTIST SUPPORT ITEM Male Hand Model MEN’S/L -WHITE, GRAY" is produced in a 1:1 scale, measuring approximately 22 cm from the tip of the middle finger to the wrist. Available in two color variations, white and gray, it is based on a male hand, meticulously designed to realistically portray the bones and muscles beneath the skin. The shapes of the nails and joints also reflect the unique characteristics of a male hand model.
The design allows the fingertips to retract into the palm, enabling a highly realistic depiction of muscle deformation and poses such as a clenched fist. The metacarpal joint system connecting the ring and pinky fingers has been completely redesigned to more accurately reproduce hand movements. Furthermore, the wrist connection features a rotating mechanism that can be locked into place, allowing for subtle angle adjustments.
