New Ghost in the Shell TV Anime Unveils Latest PV & Visual, Set to Premiere July 2026

Today (3/28) marks the first day of "Anime Japan 2026," where numerous titles are unveiling their latest anime, game, and other news.

Shirow Masamune's iconic manga, "Ghost in the Shell," is getting a brand-new anime adaptation titled "Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL." At the event, its second key visual and promotional video were revealed, confirming a July 2026 premiere.

This long-awaited new TV anime is being produced by Science SARU, the animation studio founded by producer Eunyoung Choi and director Masaaki Yuasa. It's confirmed to adapt Shirow Masamune's original manga storyline, a distinct departure from Mamoru Oshii's previous adaptations.

The second key visual, freshly drawn by character designer and chief animation director Shuhei Handa, pays homage to original creator Shirow Masamune and the most iconic classic visuals from past "Ghost in the Shell" series.
