Last March, "The Hunger Games" series released its second prequel novel, "Sunrise on the Reaping." Now, a little over a year later, the film adaptation is slated for release on November 20, 2026. Tonight, the studio followed up by dropping the second official trailer and two brand-new teaser posters (pictured below).
Francis Lawrence, who helmed the final three films of the original series and the first prequel, "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," returns to direct this installment. Billy Ray, screenwriter for the original "The Hunger Games" film, is back to pen the script. The story primarily chronicles 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy's harrowing journey through the 50th Hunger Games.
