The gashapon toy brand "CAPSULE-DOU", launched in collaboration between Hong Kong toy brand threezero and Japanese company HMA, has officially announced the release of its new original kaiju-themed product, "Great Kaiju Dragon Encyclopedia Vol. 1", scheduled for June 2026.
The "Great Kaiju Dragon Encyclopedia" is a gashapon toy series created in collaboration with renowned Japanese sculptor Ryu Oyama. It presents multiple original kaiju designed by Ryu Oyama in a miniature size of approximately 6 cm in height and a low-proportion body. The series maximizes the reproduction of the prototype's rich detailed textures and facial features using mass-produced plastic materials. Combined with meticulous color painting, the detailed contours, scars, and dirt emerge one by one, enhancing the kaiju's sense of biological realism.
The first wave of products will feature four kaiju:
1. Subterranean Kaiju Dragon TSUNOGUREN
Height 30 meters. A kaiju dragon that has inhabited Earth since ancient times, it attacks using the massive horn on its head.
2. Hellfire Kaiju Dragon TSUNOYAMI
Height 30 meters. A mysterious kaiju dragon that appears on land only once every hundred years, it is extremely powerful.
3. Deep Sea Kaiju Dragon BLUEDON
Height 27 meters. A terrifying kaiju dragon inhabiting the deep sea, its powerful jaws can crush anything.
4. Seabed Kaiju Dragon J-DON
Height 27 meters. A gentle kaiju dragon lurking in oceans and swamps, it becomes quite terrifying when enraged, requiring special caution.
