Yūki Tabata's "Black Clover" Manga Wraps Up 11-Year Run Next Week, Anime Season 2 Kicks Off This Year

Yūki Tabata's hit manga Black Clover is finally drawing to a close after an epic 11-year run! The series, known for its strong sales and popular anime adaptation (Season 1 aired from 2017 to 2021), is also gearing up for its long-awaited second anime season this year.

Shueisha dropped the bombshell yesterday, May 27th: the upcoming "Jump GIGA 2026 SPRING" issue, hitting shelves May 1st, will feature Black Clover not just on the cover and with a lead color page, but also pack in three chapters to deliver the manga's 11-year grand finale!

Originally kicking off in "Weekly Shonen Jump" back in 2015, Black Clover has since released 37 tankōbon volumes. However, creator Yūki Tabata announced in 2023 that the demanding weekly serialization schedule was no longer compatible with his creative pace. After discussions with his editorial team, the series moved to "Jump GIGA" for its continuation, leading to a somewhat slower release schedule.

And of course, with Black Clover gracing the cover of "Jump GIGA 2026 SPRING," fans are in for a treat! The issue will also include a special interview between Yūki Tabata and Gakuto Kajiwara, the voice of Asta, plus a canvas-style art board made from the lead color illustration. This is one issue no fan will want to miss!

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated second season of the Black Clover anime, first announced at Jump Festa 2026 last year for a 2026 premiere, seems perfectly timed to follow the manga's grand finale. It makes total sense for the anime to pick up the pace now! We'll just have to wait for official updates for more details.
