The iconic horror franchise "Evil Dead," nurtured by "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi (of the Tobey Maguire era), is set to deliver its latest installment, "Evil Dead Burn," this July. Following last month's teaser trailer release, the official second trailer and first poster (pictured below) have now dropped. Compared to the teaser, this official trailer showcases more of the franchise's signature elements — particularly the visceral, scream-inducing physical torment.

This installment is directed by Sébastien Vanicek, known for "Infested" (Vermines), who also co-wrote the screenplay with "Infested" writer Florent Bernard. Raimi, alongside franchise original star Bruce Campbell, remains on board as producer. Lee Cronin, director of the fifth film, "Evil Dead Rise," also returns as co-producer.

The official synopsis reveals: After her husband's death, a woman seeks solace at her in-laws' remote estate. However, as family members begin to transform into Deadites, what started as a normal gathering descends into a hellish family reunion. She soon discovers that vows made in life... remain binding even in death. The film is slated for a July 10 release in North America.

Even before the "Evil Dead Burn" trailer dropped, the seventh installment, "Evil Dead Wrath," began production in February this year, with a scheduled release date of April 7, 2028. This rapid production pace means fans won't have to wait long for the next chapter, with only a two-year gap between films.
