The third installment in the "Minions" spin-off series from "Despicable Me," titled "Minions & Monsters," released its second trailer and a brand-new promotional poster (pictured below) tonight. Compared to the previous trailer, this new look not only reveals more monster characters and pays homage to classic Hollywood films, but also more clearly hints that the newly introduced "Old One," Cthulhu, will be the ultimate antagonist of the film.
Pierre Coffin, co-director of the first three "Despicable Me" films and the first "Minions" movie, returns to direct this installment. Brian Lynch, co-writer of the previous two "Minions" films, also returns to pen the script. The film is slated for a July 1 release in North America.

This installment's story follows the Minions as they embark on a Hollywood journey. To film their dream monster movie, they decide to forgo special effects and instead summon real monsters to be their actors. The Minions first summon Cthulhu, but finding him not menacing enough, they ask him to lead the way and help awaken other monsters from around the world.
New additions to the voice cast for this film include Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Allison Janney, Zoey Deutch, Christoph Waltz, and "South Park" co-creator and core voice actor Trey Parker. Coffin continues to voice all the Minions himself.
