The "Helldivers" live-action film was previously confirmed to be helmed by Justin Lin, director of "The Fast Saga" installments 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9. The screenplay is being penned by acclaimed horror writer Gary Dauberman, known for his work on the "It" franchise and the "Annabelle" series. The film is currently slated for a November 10, 2027 release. With a sudden lead actor change, it remains uncertain whether this will impact the production schedule or the release date.
