Last month, news broke that Matt Damon was reportedly in talks to replace Ryan Gosling in the long-gestating, untitled sci-fi film from "Everything Everywhere All at Once" directing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as The Daniels). Today, industry insider Daniel Richtman has provided an update, revealing that Oscar winner Emma Stone is now also eyed for a role in the project.

The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed that the film's plot elements include global warming, time travel, and potential superhero undertones. The story is said to feature two distinct timelines: one set in the 1980s and another in the present day. The protagonists are expected to be a group of teenagers, or at least the 80s storyline will heavily feature teenage characters. Richtman further confirmed today that the film is indeed a superhero project, with global warming serving as the "villain."

The currently untitled movie is slated for a November 19 release next year, targeting the Thanksgiving holiday frame. The Daniels have previously described their upcoming feature as an "existential" sci-fi action-comedy, similar in tone to their acclaimed hit "Everything Everywhere All at Once."
