This Artist Makes Uma Musume Collaboration Cans Burst to Life!

Recently, papercraft artist Mamoniru (@mamoniruru) blew minds with their latest creation. They took the recently released Zone x "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" energy drink cans and transformed them into dynamic sculptures where the characters appear to be "bursting right out of the can!" The Air Groove artwork on the can instantly became a stunning 3D masterpiece, earning massive praise from netizens for their incredible craftsmanship.

To nail down the perfect look, Mamoniru bought several of the same Air Groove Zone collaboration cans, experimenting multiple times to achieve their desired result.

The process involves carefully cutting out the character pattern, then gently stretching and tearing the material by hand. After that, modeling tools are used to press out the intricate textures and details on the surface.

Mamoniru explained that achieving the dynamic, three-dimensional effect requires meticulous attention to detail from every angle. It's a skill they've honed over years of experience to find the most efficient methods. A beginner, they noted, would likely spend much more time just figuring out the structural intricacies.

Looking at the finished piece from different angles, it's astonishing to see Air Groove seemingly leaping out. Despite being crafted from cut-up aluminum can material, Mamoniru used various stacking, stretching, and angled arrangements to maximize the 3D effect. It's truly hard to believe this masterpiece originated from a flat can graphic!

Just look at Air Groove bursting from the can – it's a testament to Mamoniru's incredibly precise and striking artistry.

The effect is even more astounding in video! Mamoniru shared that they put a lot of effort into adjusting the sculpture to perfectly capture Air Groove's slight forward lean and sprinting pose, calling the creation process "very fun."
