Christopher Nolan has consistently maintained a steady output throughout his career, typically releasing a new film every two to three years. For instance, there was a two-year gap between "The Dark Knight" and "Inception," and again between "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Rises." His most recent film, "Oppenheimer," arrived three years after his previous project. However, Nolan recently indicated that this consistent frequency might change for his next endeavor.

Nolan, who has been extensively promoting "Oppenheimer" across various media outlets recently, admitted during an interview on the morning show "Today" that his next film would not be released for another three years, "at least." He explained that he clearly needs a break first, as the process of completing "Oppenheimer" was extremely exhausting. Nolan felt he had "definitely reached the physical limits of myself and everyone." He added, "I mean, it's 'Oppenheimer,' it's supposed to be hard to make. If it was easy, we probably weren't doing it right."
