Warner Bros. Pictures' new live-action animated film from the "Looney Tunes" universe, "Coyote vs. Acme," is set to hit theaters next month, and its final trailer just dropped tonight. The biggest highlight of this trailer is undoubtedly the countdown clock at the end, which deliberately spoofs the new trailer for the fifth "Avengers" film, "Avengers: Doomsday," released just a few days prior .
Trailers for "Avengers: Doomsday" consistently feature a countdown sequence, with the "Avengers" "A" logo printed in the background. Since Acme also begins with the letter "A," the "Coyote vs. Acme" trailer not only mimics the countdown clock but also replicates the "A" logo background design.

The film is directed by Dave Green, known for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows." James Gunn, director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, serves as co-writer and producer. Jeremy Slater, a writer for Marvel's Disney+ series "Moon Knight," and Samy Burch, writer of "May December," are also part of the writing team.

"Coyote vs. Acme" features a cast including John Cena, Will Forte, Lana Condor, and P.J. Byrne. The story follows Wile E. Coyote as he furiously sues the Acme Corporation, alleging that their products have repeatedly hindered his long-standing pursuit of the Road Runner. The film is slated for a North American release on August 28 this year.
This film was one of several that Warner Bros. Discovery had initially decided to permanently cancel three years ago as part of a company-wide tax write-off strategy. However, two years later, they sold the distribution rights to Ketchup Entertainment, allowing the film to finally see the light of day. The end of the trailer cleverly pokes fun at this history, jokingly claiming that the film's release is actually due to certain "accounting considerations," a clear jab at the past.
