As the Pokémon franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, its massive, evergreen influence is on full display with collabs dropping left and right all over the globe.
Now, adidas Originals is getting in on the action, announcing one of its biggest sneaker collaborations ever with a collection of over 12 shoes designed around classic Pokémon. Instead of focusing on a single silhouette, the collection pairs various Pokémon with different iconic adidas models to match their unique characteristics. The lineup is scheduled for a September 2026 release in the United States.

This massive collection features fan-favorites like the Charmander family, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Gengar, and Rayquaza. Beyond the core colorways, many of the shoes incorporate character-specific details. All sneakers in the collection share a few common design elements: the tongue features an illustration of the corresponding Pokémon, and each pair comes with a metal Poké Ball lace dubrae. The only exception is the Mewtwo model, which swaps the Poké Ball for a Master Ball—a nod to its legendary status as the toughest Pokémon to catch in the original Pokémon Red & Blue games.
