Seiko x Initial D Collab Drops a Limited-Edition Watch Inspired by Keisuke Takahashi's Iconic Yellow RX-7

Japanese watchmaking giant SEIKO is no stranger to killer anime and gaming collaborations, and their latest drop has been a hit with fans.

The company has announced a team-up with the legendary racing series *Initial D*, a fan favorite for over 30 years, to release a new chronograph inspired by Akagi RedSuns driver Keisuke Takahashi and his iconic Mazda RX-7 FD3S. Priced at 65,780 JPY and limited to just 1,995 units worldwide, the watch is currently available for pre-order on the PREMICO official website.

This collaboration watch is built around the design of Keisuke Takahashi's RX-7 FD3S. The dial features the car's instantly recognizable competition yellow, faithfully recreating its body color, while a black bezel completes the aggressive sports car aesthetic.

The three sub-dials on the watch face are designed to mimic the RX-7's glowing red instrument cluster, perfectly capturing the visual style of the sports car's cockpit.

The 12 o'clock marker is a nod to the RX-7's iconic 13B-REW rotary engine. At the 3 o'clock position, the RedSuns team logo is printed alongside the SEIKO brand, symbolizing the deep bond between teammates.

To commemorate the 1995 launch of the *Initial D* manga series, the watch is limited to a run of 1,995 pieces. Each case back is engraved with a unique serial number (No. 1 to No. 1995), making it a highly valuable collector's item.

The watch comes in a special collector's box, featuring a vibrant yellow design that matches the RX-7. The lid is printed with the *Initial D* logo and the RedSuns team emblem. Opening the box reveals a full-color illustration of Keisuke Takahashi and his RX-7 FD3S, adding significant commemorative value.
