S-MEISTER x "Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc" Collab Drops Four Mechanical Watches Featuring Traditional Awa Washi Paper Dials

Known for its exquisite Japanese craftsmanship, watch brand SONNE's mechanical line, S-MEISTER, is no stranger to killer anime collabs. After a popular release with *Ghost in the Shell* featuring Raden lacquerware watches, they're back with another must-have collection.

This time, they're teaming up with the box-office smash *Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc* for a new line of automatic mechanical watches inspired by four key characters. The collection is set to drop on August 21, 2026, with each watch priced at 39,600 JPY.

The standout feature of this series is the dial, which uses Momizome-shi, a type of traditional Awa Washi paper from Tokushima Prefecture (the former Awa Province). This hand-crumpled and dyed paper gives each watch a unique, delicate texture and irregular pattern, perfectly capturing the high-impact, chaotic world of *Chainsaw Man*. Each timepiece is powered by a Japanese-made automatic movement and assembled in Japan, ensuring top-tier Made in Japan quality.

The lineup includes four designs based on Chainsaw Man, the Bomb Devil, Makima, and Aki Hayakawa. Each watch cleverly integrates character-specific colors, hour markers, and hands, blending them with the traditional Japanese art of the paper dial for a truly unique look.

▼ Chainsaw Man Model

The dial features Awa Washi paper in Chainsaw Man's signature colors. The hour and minute hands are designed to look like chainsaws, while the 12 o'clock position is marked with his iconic head. Other hour markers evoke the jagged teeth of a chainsaw, and a starter cord graphic is even placed next to the open-heart window.

▼ Bomb Devil Model

This watch uses Awa Washi paper colored to match the Bomb Devil's explosive look. The hour hand is shaped like a bomb, while the minute hand is inspired by her arm. Her head marks the 12 o'clock position, and the pin from her choker is cleverly integrated as a detail at 6 o'clock.

▼ Makima Model

Featuring a dial in Makima's representative colors, this design uses necktie-shaped hour and minute hands. A coffee cup sits at the 12 o'clock mark, and the hour markers incorporate the hypnotic ring pattern from her eyes.

▼ Aki Hayakawa Model

Aki's model uses Awa Washi paper in his signature color scheme. The minute hand is designed like his sword, with the hour hand taking the form of its scabbard. A cigarette icon marks 12 o'clock, while the 3 and 9 o'clock positions feature decorations resembling his earrings, capturing his character in every detail.
