Japanese audio brand ONKYO, known for its frequent collaborations with popular anime IPs like Cosmic Princess Kaguya! and Zombie Land Saga, has consistently delivered fan-favorite products.
Now, they're teaming up with the beloved Gundam series, "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," to launch a new pair of true wireless Bluetooth earbuds. These aren't just any earbuds – they come loaded with custom voice prompts from all five main characters! Priced at 24,000 JPY, pre-orders kicked off on August 7th via ONKYO's official website.
The earbuds themselves are based on ONKYO's "CP-TWS01F" model, boasting features like active noise cancellation (ANC), a low-latency mode, and everyday water resistance. This makes them super practical for daily use, and even great for gaming. Plus, they come in an exclusive box featuring brand-new collaboration artwork.
The charging case sports cool silhouette designs of the five pilots, while the earbuds themselves feature a feather motif, subtly referencing the iconic Wing Gundam Zero EW.
But the real showstopper here is the inclusion of 85 newly recorded voice prompts – 17 lines each – from the five Gundam pilots: Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Wufei Chang. The earbuds feature a "mode switching" design, allowing you to tap and cycle through characters, letting you pick which pilot accompanies you based on your mood!
Fans will get a kick out of hearing classic lines, too. Heero, for instance, will hit you with "I'm going to kill you" or "Mission understood." And when the battery runs low? He'll dramatically declare, "The only option left... is to activate the self-destruct device." Pure "Gundam Wing" gold!
ONKYO is also offering co-branded wireless charging pads and earbud cases, with five character designs to choose from.
