This year marks the 100th anniversary of Shueisha, and to celebrate, the publisher has launched a special "SHUEISHA MANGA EXPO" website, featuring a series of manga-centric projects to commemorate its century-long legacy.
Recently, the company officially unveiled its brand-new global digital manga service, "MANGA MILLION." This limited-time free manga platform is designed for readers worldwide, requiring no registration, and is slated to operate until the end of December 2027. The platform will offer approximately 400 Shueisha titles for free, translated into over 100 languages for global audiences.

The lineup of titles is seriously stacked, featuring blockbusters like "ONE PIECE" (translated into 107 languages!), "Naruto," "BLEACH," "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Kingdom," "Oshi no Ko," "SPY x FAMILY," and "Chainsaw Man." But it's not just shonen and seinen hits; the platform also includes over 150 shojo and josei manga, such as "NANA" and "Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You," bringing the total to around 400 classic works available all at once.
(*Availability and supported languages may vary by title.)

All translations are handled by professional translators, with Shueisha stating their commitment to faithfully capturing the essence of each work and the characters' dialogue, ensuring official translation quality. Approximately 300 of these titles will be receiving their official English translations for the very first time.
What's more, the platform supports over 100 languages, including Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Turkish, Tagalog, Korean, and Polish. The goal is to break down language and national barriers, allowing readers everywhere to dive into the rich world of Japanese manga culture.

For instance, "ONE PIECE" is expected to support 96 languages, including Italian, Mongolian, and Swahili. Additionally, about 30 other titles that previously didn't even get simultaneous English releases on "MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA" will now be available in English for the first time. This means more global readers can access the latest content faster through official channels and discover new series.

Shueisha stated that "MANGA MILLION" was a collaborative effort involving multiple internal departments, made possible with the support of numerous manga artists and licensing partners worldwide. The company hopes to deliver the richest manga reading experience to global audiences through a diverse collection spanning shonen, shojo, josei, and seinen genres.
