Kento Nakajima Goes Full Yu-Gi-Oh! on Radio Show, Declares Seto Kaiba His Fave, Fans Joke He's 'Preaching the Gospel'

Singer and actor Kento Nakajima hosted Nippon Broadcasting System's "All Night Nippon" program on the 14th, where he unleashed his passionate love for "Yu-Gi-Oh!" He dove deep into characters, cards, and even used "Yu-Gi-Oh!" content to answer listeners' life problems during the show's advice segment.

The broadcast immediately sparked a huge reaction. Many fans were stunned by his intense devotion to "Yu-Gi-Oh!", while others, completely lost, took to the internet begging for explanations. It quickly became a trending topic.

The "All Night Nippon" segment, titled "Life's Eye Consultation Dragon," took on listeners' real-life woes. Think "My boss is a good person, but there's just something I can't stand about them..." or "My friend said something on our outing that's been bugging me ever since..." or "My indecisiveness led to this disaster..." Kento Nakajima, however, tackled every single one with a "Yu-Gi-Oh!" twist.

He even demanded that listeners title their emails with "Duel." Talk about peak "Yu-Gi-Oh!" immersion!

After a relatively serious first thirty minutes or so, Nakajima declared, "I've done what I needed to do," and then completely unleashed his inner duelist, dedicating the rest of the show entirely to "Yu-Gi-Oh!"

He recounted seeking deck-building advice from fellow "Yu-Gi-Oh!" enthusiast and competitive player Tori Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka apparently took one look at Nakajima's deck, tossed out 28 cards, and declared, "Your deck is too idealistic; it's completely unplayable in a real duel." Nakajima admitted he was still a rookie compared to his senior.

He even mused about wanting to "put Blue-Eyes White Dragon on TWICE's Momo Hirai's phone case," hoping it would make everyone fall in love with the game, perhaps even pushing "Yu-Gi-Oh!" past "Pokémon" in popularity. He then answered listener questions using background music from the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" anime and even started doing character voice impressions...

When a listener asked, "What should I do if I'm always the one initiating plans?"

Nakajima responded, "That's Mai Valentine for you! For Mai, who's getting a little ambiguous with Joey Wheeler, all those cards she keeps playing are just ordinary cards to Joey." He explained that Mai often struggles to express her true feelings, leading to major misunderstandings between them. Nakajima then encouraged everyone, "You should all try to express your feelings honestly!"

Essentially, Kento Nakajima used this method, complete with "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" BGM, to answer listener questions. He kept dropping references and doing voiceovers, acting as a full-blown "Yu-Gi-Oh!" evangelist, if you will.

However, Kento Nakajima's "Yu-Gi-Oh!" intensity was so off-the-charts that some fans took to X (formerly Twitter) begging for help, admitting they couldn't understand a word he was saying. They genuinely needed expert assistance to decipher his highly specialized "Yu-Gi-Oh!" discourse.

Throughout the entire show, it was clear that Kento Nakajima genuinely wants "Yu-Gi-Oh!" to become the world's number one card game, which explains why he spent most of his airtime "preaching the gospel." It seems this won't be the last time Nakajima uses a broadcast to champion "Yu-Gi-Oh!"
