For nearly a century, LEGO has captivated builders of all ages, offering endless possibilities for creating anything imaginable.
Recently on X (formerly Twitter), Japanese LEGO MOC creator VAIO (@VaioHalcas) dropped jaws with his incredible build: a powerful Pokémon from the series, Archaludon! He perfectly captured its unique, bridge-like form using LEGO bricks, and get this – it even transforms into its attack mode! The intricate craftsmanship has fans absolutely raving, stunned by what he managed to pull off.

For those unfamiliar, Archaludon is a Pokémon introduced in "Pokémon Scarlet and Violet." It's the evolved form of Duraludon from "Pokémon Sword and Shield," requiring a Metal Alloy to evolve, and is notably the signature Pokémon of Drayton.
Visually, Archaludon boasts a more pronounced mechanical body than its pre-evolution, Duraludon, resembling a massive steel bridge. In battle, it can collect and charge static electricity at its limb tips, transforming into a four-legged stance to unleash powerful energy beams.

Of course, bringing this behemoth to life wasn't easy. Archaludon's sheer size and its distinctive bridge-like physique meant VAIO had to meticulously hunt for the perfect LEGO bricks to sculpt its form.

To nail that in-game transformation, VAIO also had to engineer intricate articulation and movable joints throughout the body, making the transformation seamless.

After about a month of trial and error, fine-tuning the brick placement and articulation mechanisms, VAIO finally unveiled his LEGO Archaludon masterpiece. Just look at those distinct four legs and that iconic, towering body!

A peek from the rear reveals the clever transformation mechanism and those signature bridge-like supports.

So, how does it transform? VAIO even shared a video of the process, breaking down the steps:
Tuck the arms into the shoulders.
Unlock the waist.
Tilt the upper body forward.
Slide the face mask one stud to the side, then remove the bricks around the eyes.
Reattach the rear leg lights onto the pillars.
Add the effect parts, and voilà – it's done!
The transformation adds the rear leg pillars and effect parts, meaning some of the originally marked pieces will be left over.
Once transformed, it perfectly replicates Archaludon's attack stance from the games.

So, what do you think of VAIO's incredible LEGO Archaludon? If you're digging this build, definitely head over to his X account – he's got tons more amazing creations to check out!
