New York-based handbag brand VASIC, founded by Japanese designer Kanoko Mizuo, has announced a special collection featuring Pokémon as the franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary. The lineup includes handbags, charms, carabiners and a range of everyday accessories.
The collection will officially launch at VASIC stores and its online store on August 19, followed by limited-time pop-up stores at JR Nagoya Takashimaya, GINZA SIX and Kyoto Takashimaya S.C.
For the collection, VASIC has incorporated Pikachu, Eevee and other Pokémon into its signature “Bond” series, creating pieces that balance playful character details with the brand's understated, sophisticated aesthetic.
The lineup also includes a slim pochette and multi-zip case fitted with three-dimensional Pikachu zipper pulls, bag charms accented with Poké Ball details, and a carabiner shaped like Pikachu's face. Rather than overwhelming each piece with character graphics, the Pokémon elements are worked subtly into designs made to fit naturally into everyday outfits, preserving the refined style VASIC is known for.

VASIC's signature “Bond” bag arrives in its Mini size with two designs featuring Pikachu and Eevee. The character details are kept understated, adding a little Pokémon charm to an otherwise sophisticated everyday bag.
The adjustable handle allows the bag to be carried either by hand or over the shoulder. Despite its compact size, it offers enough room to accommodate a long wallet, making it a versatile option for a wide range of occasions.

The “Bond” also comes in an even smaller Mini Mini size designed as an easy-to-wear compact bag.
Its long strap can be arranged in different ways, allowing it to function as either a shoulder bag or a handbag. Its compact silhouette sits naturally against the body, almost giving the feeling of taking Pikachu along on your everyday adventures.

The “Pochette Mini” incorporates Pokémon as subtle accents on a clean and compact design. The slim bag is sized to hold essentials such as a wallet and smartphone, with embossed designs of Pikachu, Eevee, Ditto and Snorlax appearing across the collection. A three-dimensional Pikachu charm on the zipper pull adds an extra playful detail.

The “Multi Zip Case” is a card-case-style wallet accented with prints of Pikachu and Eevee. Designed around the idea that even practical objects used every day should bring a little happiness each time they're picked up, it combines functionality with playful Pokémon details.
Its palm-sized silhouette opens to reveal three internal compartments for organizing cards and other small items. Like the Pochette Mini, the zipper pull is finished with a three-dimensional Pikachu charm.

The collection also features interchangeable bag charms inspired by the distinctive looks of different Pokémon. Each comes with a double ring that allows it to double as a keychain, while a subtle Poké Ball detail adds another nod to the series.
