While multiple international media outlets previously claimed that the final screen tests were officially commencing this month, Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman recently made a surprising revelation. During an interview on the Canadian morning show "Global," Oldman stated that the casting process had already concluded, and the new Bond is none other than Lowden (pictured left), his co-star for several seasons on "Slow Horses."

Oldman made a surprising statement on the show, saying: "Jack has been rumored to be on the shortlist, but we'll know soon enough, won't we? Because they've already picked him for the role. They've made their choice; they just haven't announced it yet. So, I have a lot of confidence in Jack."

Many media outlets remain skeptical of Oldman's claim, doubting his access to such insider information. However, it's almost certain that Lowden did audition. Interestingly, Lowden's wife, Saoirse Ronan, has repeatedly expressed her desire to join a Bond film as a villain in recent years. The couple might even have a chance to appear together in a future Bond movie.
