The official Gunpla flagship store in Japan, GUNDAM BASE, has unveiled the latest limited-edition product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00": the "MG 1/100 Gundam Kyrios (TRANS-AM Mode) [Metallic Gloss Injection]", complete with new product images and box art. This highly anticipated kit is priced at 5,830 JPY and is slated for release on September 19, 2026.
The GN-003 Gundam Kyrios is a mobile suit belonging to the armed organization Celestial Being, piloted by Allelujah Haptism. Its most distinctive feature is its ability to rapidly transform from Mobile Suit mode to Flight mode during combat using GN Particles, granting it the highest mobility among its sister units. By equipping various tail units, it can accomplish diverse missions, excelling in hit-and-run tactics that leverage its superior speed. Its arsenal includes a GN Beam Machine Gun, GN Beam Sabers, GN Missiles, and a GN Shield.
The "MG 1/100 Gundam Kyrios (TRANS-AM Mode) [Metallic Gloss Injection]" largely retains the same core content as the previously released standard version kit. This special edition utilizes "Metallic Gloss Injection" to faithfully reproduce the TRANS-AM Mode seen in "Gundam 00," where the mobile suit temporarily unleashes extraordinary power by forcibly releasing highly compressed GN Particles from its GN Drive. All parts of the kit feature a striking metallic red finish, while the GN Capacitors on the legs achieve a vibrant, iridescent effect with foil stickers paired with clear parts. The numerous armaments included with the original kit—such as the GN Beam Machine Gun, GN Missiles, the transformable GN Shield, and two Beam Sabers—are all present. Furthermore, the iconic transformation gimmick is perfectly replicated through its excellent articulated frame, allowing for a complete, parts-swapping-free transformation just like the original design!
