Japanese watchmaking giant SEIKO is no stranger to collaborations with popular ACG franchises, and their creations have consistently been a hit with fans.
Now, they've announced their fourth team-up with the beloved Kyoto Animation series, Violet Evergarden. This time, the collection is inspired by the animated film "Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll," featuring two commemorative watch models that capture the movie's world and color palette. Each model is limited to just 1,000 units. They are priced at 65,780 JPY, with an expected release in mid-March 2027, and are currently available for pre-order on the PREMICO website.

The "Violet Evergarden" series, adapted from the light novel of the same name—the only work in the last decade to win the Grand Prize at the Kyoto Animation Awards—has been released as both a TV anime and theatrical films.
"Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll" was the first animated film released by Kyoto Animation after the devastating arson attack on the studio. Its beautiful story captured the hearts of many fans and remains one of KyoAni's most acclaimed works.

This marks the fourth collaboration between the two, with the new designs drawing inspiration from the movie's most memorable scenes and symbolic elements, which are intricately woven into the watch faces. The collection includes two versions: one with a metal band and one with a leather band. While the background colors differ slightly, the dial designs are largely identical.

The "Metal Band Model" features a leaf-green dial inspired by the lush greenery surrounding the girls' boarding school. A radial pattern extends from the center, creating an effect like sunlight filtering through the trees.

Meanwhile, the "Leather Band Model" boasts a white dial, reminiscent of the elegant white camellias that bloom in the film. The face is finished with a delicate embossed pattern that shimmers softly when it catches the light.

Both watches feature a second hand designed to look like a "letter," symbolizing the bond between the characters Isabella and Taylor. The 6 o'clock marker incorporates Violet's cherished deep green brooch, the 4 o'clock position is adorned with a beautifully blooming white camellia from the girls' school, and the space between 7 and 8 o'clock depicts two birds soaring freely in the sky, a sight the two friends once shared.

Each model is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, with a unique serial number engraved on the case back.

The watch is presented in a special white box inspired by the dress Violet wore to her first social dance. Additionally, it comes with a warranty card shaped like a "letter," a key item from the story.
