WHISKY MEW x "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" Uncorks Limited Dream Journey and Epiphaneia Whiskies from Speyside

Cygames’ Uma Musume Pretty Derby became a runaway hit following the launch of its mobile game. The game celebrated its fifth anniversary in February 2026, bringing even more attention to Japan’s horse-racing culture.

The franchise has now teamed up with WHISKY MEW, the spirits brand sold through Shogakukan’s premium mail-order catalog, for two limited-edition whiskies featuring Dream Journey and Epiphaneia on the labels. Each bottle is priced at ¥19,250, with lottery applications open through October 4, 2026, on the official website. Both releases will be available exclusively through the lottery sale.

WHISKY MEW is a well-known Japanese label offering whiskies selected by collector Hideo Yamaoka, whose nose and palate guide the lineup. The brand has previously released collaboration bottles with Baki and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Inspired by Dream Journey and Epiphaneia, the new collection features two single-malt whiskies from Scotland’s Speyside region.

Dream Journey label / Glen Elgin 2009 — Limited to 300 bottles

Paired with a Dream Journey-themed label, this Glen Elgin whisky was distilled in June 2009. Its aroma evokes chocolate cake and blueberries, followed by unfolding notes of cocoa powder, honey, and bright citrus acidity on the palate. The single malt was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask.

Epiphaneia label / Aultmore 2013 — Limited to 296 bottles

Distilled in October 2013, this Aultmore single malt comes dressed in an Epiphaneia-themed label. Aromas of dried fruit, ripe peaches, and plums lead into a balanced combination of gentle sweetness, measured bitterness, and spice. The whisky was matured in a port cask.
