A recent post on Japan's X asking, "You think I'll buy it just because you put Chiikawa on the packaging?" sparked plenty of discussion. The post poked fun at companies seemingly convinced that adding Chiikawa to a product is enough to win over consumers. But the replies were soon flooded with people whose "actions spoke louder than their complaints," including users proudly showing off their stockpiles of Chiikawa collaboration goods. Before long, the entire thread had turned into an unofficial Chiikawa haul showcase.
The discussion began when Japanese X user "パンプキンポプリ" posted, "They really think a product will sell just because they slapped a Chiikawa label on it. Hilarious." The user then shared a photo of the Chiikawa collaboration soy sauce they had bought, making it clear that the joke was very much at their own expense.
