Three months ago, The Cosmic Circus, a site known for breaking news about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reported that Marvel Studios had already begun developing ideas for a sequel to "Thunderbolts* / The New Avengers." Despite costing $180 million to produce, the movie grossed just $382 million worldwide, making it far from a clear financial win. Still, the strong audience response may have convinced the studio to give the team another shot.

The Cosmic Circus has now shared another update on the potential "Thunderbolts*" sequel, claiming that Marvel Studios wants to add Bullseye, the villain from the "Daredevil" series, to the roster. Prominent X scoop accounts MyTimeToShineHello and Blue Minutes later backed up the report. Blue Minutes also claimed that Songbird, a MARVEL character who has yet to make her live-action debut, will join the sequel. In the comics, she has been a member of both the Thunderbolts and The New Avengers.

Those two teams were still separate by the end of "Thunderbolts*," with the movie even setting up a trademark dispute between them. According to Blue Minutes, however, Thunderbolts leader Yelena Belova and current Avengers leader Sam Wilson, aka Captain America, will eventually settle their differences and join forces to lead a unified Avengers team.
