Japanese camera accessory brand MOUTH is teaming up with the classic tokusatsu series Ultraman for the “FLEX MULTI CAP” collaboration collection “ULTRA & MOUTH.” Inspired by Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Tiga, fan-favorite kaiju, the Science Special Search Party and GUTS, the caps feature flexible resin wires hidden inside the brim, letting wearers bend it into their preferred shape. The collection includes eight designs, each priced at 6,600 yen including tax. The first six will launch on November 13, 2026, followed by the remaining two on November 28.
The previously covered niko and... x Ultraman apparel collaboration worked kaiju graphics into everyday outfits. MOUTH takes a different approach, pairing embroidered artwork on the front of each cap with hidden designs beneath the brim. The first wave includes six versions based on Ultraman, Ultraseven, Gomora, Alien Baltan, Zetton and the Science Special Search Party. Designs featuring Ultraman Tiga and GUTS will follow, bringing the collection to eight caps in total. The Gomora cap features “The Prince of Monsters” beneath its brim, the Alien Baltan version hides “Shoot the Invader,” and the Zetton design displays “Farewell, Ultraman,” the title of the original Ultraman series finale. The Science Special Search Party cap even includes artwork of the JET VTOL aircraft. These small Easter eggs only reveal themselves when the caps are flipped over.
The collection was designed under the supervision of photographer Manabu Nakanishi, who has spent years photographing the Ultraman franchise. It retains the functionality of MOUTH’s FLEX MULTI CAP, originally developed for photographers. Three resin wires are arranged in a fan pattern inside the brim, allowing it to be bent upward or toward either side so it does not block the camera viewfinder. The water-repellent nylon cap weighs approximately 40 g, folds down for easy storage and features a rear drawcord for adjusting the fit. It is equally suited to photography sessions, everyday outings and outdoor activities.
