Japanese general goods and toy manufacturer LianQLabo (株式会社リアンキューラボ) is set to release a highly anticipated arcade prize based on the popular manga "Chainsaw Man": the "Pochita Big Plush." It was scheduled to debut in Japanese arcades on May 26, 2021.
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga "Chainsaw Man" is set in a world plagued by "Devils." The story follows Denji, an extremely impoverished protagonist (translated by the publisher as Denji, phonetically "Dianji"), who becomes a Devil Hunter to repay his deceased father's massive debt, earning money by slaying Devils. He partners with the Chainsaw Devil, "Pochita," to hunt these creatures. During an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, forming a contract with Denji's heart to revive him and grant him the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Devil. This transformation catches the attention of the government's Public Safety Devil Hunters.
The "Pochita Big Plush" recreates the Chainsaw Devil in an approximately 1:1 scale. Pochita's inherently cute, dog-like appearance becomes even more adorable as a large plush. It features two expression variations: a standard W-shaped smile and an open-mouth smile with its tongue playfully sticking out. Beyond its striking round orange body, meticulous details like the jagged chainsaw blade on its head, the handle on its back, and the pull cord on its rear are all faithfully reproduced! Whether for display or cuddling, this plush offers ultimate comfort.
