Following several successful 12-inch and 6-inch articulated figure collaborations, toy manufacturer DAMTOYS and Coal Dog studio designer Park Zhi have once again teamed up to reveal a captivating new original statue: the 1/4 scale "CYBERLOVER-PINK." This stunning piece is limited to just 299 units and was scheduled to ship in Q2 2022.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..." — Blade Runner.
Inspired by sci-fi classics like "Blade Runner" and "Ghost in the Shell," the ethereal character CYBER LOVER "PINK" was designed to work in the central district of the MindGame world. Existing since the very inception of MindGame, she has witnessed countless individuals and events, understanding humanity better than anyone else. As night falls, PINK appears in the display window, captivating every passerby.
The "CYBERLOVER-PINK" 1/4 scale original statue stands approximately 41 cm (16.1 inches) tall. It meticulously crafts PINK with her signature pink hair, complete with delicate freckles, a subtle blush, bright eyes, and luscious lips, exuding an enchanting, almost hypnotic charm! To faithfully recreate her anti-gravity design, Park and the team engineered a specialized, non-deforming structural support, giving the entire piece a lighter, more ethereal ambiance. The balloon-like texture is achieved using traditional Sofubi craftsmanship, resulting in a soft, glittery pink finish.
The statue also includes two interchangeable head sculpts: one featuring her natural face and another with playful mechanical rabbit ears, perfectly complementing the spherical rabbit tail on her hip, combining both sexiness and cuteness.
The base design incorporates elements of obsolete electronic products, such as a record player and floppy disks, adding to the retro-futuristic aesthetic.
