LEGO toys, with their endless building possibilities, offer not only a wide variety of buildings and vehicles, but LEGO Minifigures are also a major focus for collectors. Beyond the LEGO Minifigure blind bag series, which has been released since 2010, limited edition minifigures launched with events can see their collector value increase significantly! Today, the editor will take an inventory of the top 15 most valuable LEGO minifigures in the world~ The editor originally thought the super rare Mr. Gold (the golden minifigure) would rank much higher, but it's only at 17th place! Let's take a look.
No. 15, 14. Captain America (Toy Fair 2012 Exclusive), Iron Man (Toy Fair 2012 Exclusive) Price: US$1947.50 each
In 2012, "The Avengers" movie sparked a superhero craze worldwide, becoming the first MARVEL comic adaptation film to gross over $1 billion at the box office; and at that year's New York Toy Fair, two superhero LEGO minifigures became ultimate treasures for Marvel fans: Captain America and Iron Man! This Captain America minifigure recreates Bucky taking Steve's place as Captain America, based on a unique comic book design, and the shield features a matte finish. The Iron Man minifigure has the helmet printed directly onto the head piece, completely different from the set's original design where the helmet was a separate accessory. And both of these are limited edition items with only 125 pieces worldwide!

No. 13. George Lucas LEGO Minifigure Prototype Price: US$2613.45
The George Lucas LEGO minifigure, which was never officially released, first appeared in public at a "Star Wars Weekend" event in 2010 and was once sold on eBay for US$5,000. Due to its unknown quantity (but certainly very rare), extremely similar custom minifigures have appeared on the market, adding to the legendary status of this Lucas LEGO. However, it was indeed produced and exists as an official LEGO item. If you have the 2009 edition of "Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary," you might want to check page 89.

No. 12. C-3PO Orange Prototype Price: US$3867.45
The C-3PO Orange Prototype LEGO minifigure, produced in 1999, also has an unknown quantity and rarely appears on auction sites. It's worth noting that 1999 was the year LEGO Star Wars products began to be released, and this prototype was likely in preparation for the 2001 set "7106 Droid Escape"!

No. 11. Sterling Silver Boba Fett (2010 Event Exclusive) Price: US$ 8360.95
At SDCC and Star Wars Celebration V in 2010, an astonishing set of Boba Fett LEGO minifigure masterpieces was unveiled. These included 10,000 plastic White Boba Fett figures, as well as two each of the 14K Gold and Sterling Silver Boba Fett minifigures, crafted exclusively for the events. The classic design of the old-style helmet and jetpack is truly iconic!

No. 10. Bronze Boba Fett (2010 Event Exclusive) Price: US$ 18288.45
In addition to the aforementioned 14K Gold and Sterling Silver Boba Fett figures, LEGO also crafted a Boba Fett minifigure from another metal material, "bronze," in 2010. This was randomly given away during the LEGO online store's May event (May the 4th Promotion)! Naturally, this bronze Boba Fett is also an ultra-rare treasure, with only 2 pieces existing worldwide.

No. 9. 14 Karat Gold Boba Fett (2010 Event Exclusive) Price: US$ 19855.95
No. 9 is also a precious metal Boba Fett from 2010, with only two 14K gold pieces worldwide. Its allure, we believe, needs no further elaboration! (However, what puzzles the editor is the significant price difference compared to the silver Boba Fett. If any toy enthusiasts have relevant information, please feel free to share it with us.)

No. 8. 14K Gold C-3PO Price: US$ 26125.95
In 2007, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, LEGO created only 5 C-3PO figures worldwide from 14K gold. These 5 figures are truly dream collectibles for Star Wars fans, originally offered as prizes in a LEGO Magazine sweepstakes; It's worth noting that, compared to the "gold-plated C-3PO minifigures" (10,000 worldwide) that would randomly appear as a surprise in Star Wars sets around the same time, this 14K gold C-3PO LEGO minifigure has almost never appeared on auction sites.

No. 7. Silver R2-D2 Price: US$ 28738.45
In late 2017, LEGO launched a free sweepstakes event called the "R2-D2 Contest," open to anyone who registered. The prize was an R2-D2 minifigure crafted by LEGO from Platinum, valued at US$ 3,300! In the promotional video for the event at the time, there were a total of 16 R2-D2 LEGO figures made from precious metals, including 10 silver, 5 platinum, and only 1 R2-D2 made of white gold.

No. 6. Bronze C-3PO (2007 SDCC Exclusive) Price: US$32,395.95
This C-3PO, obtained from a raffle at the 2007 SDCC Comic-Con and Star Wars 30th Anniversary Celebration, is the first and only bronze C-3PO ever made.

No. 5. Platinum R2-D2 Price: US$33,440.95
This is the R2-D2 mentioned at No. 7, crafted from "platinum," commonly referred to as "white gold," among the 16 R2-D2 minifigures made by LEGO from precious metals in 2017. Only 5 of these exist worldwide, and its price is nearly US$5,000 more than the silver R2-D2.

No. 4. Silver C-3PO (2007 Star Wars Celebration IV Exclusive) Price: US$34,485.95
Debuting at the 2007 Star Wars Celebration IV event, this one-of-a-kind sterling silver C-3PO offers a distinct feel compared to the gold and bronze colors that are closer to the in-story depiction, with its unique metallic silver texture.

No. 3. White, 14K Gold, and Sterling Silver Boba Fett Shadow Box Set (2010 Event Exclusive) Price: US$36,575.95
Previously, we listed the 14K Gold Boba Fett at No. 9 and the Silver Boba Fett at No. 11. This incredibly display-worthy Shadow Box set includes the only two 14K Gold and Sterling Silver Boba Fetts in the world, along with an ABS-crafted white Boba Fett, and a hand-signed certificate, significantly boosting its collector's value! (Even adding the prices of the 14K Gold and Silver Boba Fetts together, there's still a considerable difference compared to the Shadow Box!)

No. 2. 18K White Gold R2-D2 Price: US$39,188.45
On October 1, 2017, the then-largest LEGO set in history, the UCS series "75192 Millennium Falcon," made its grand debut! To commemorate this momentous product launch, LEGO issued a black commemorative LEGO VIP membership card, commonly known by players as the LEGO Star Wars VIP Card. In the same year, LEGO announced that VIP members holding this card would have a chance to obtain an R2-D2 LEGO minifigure crafted from 18K white gold, with only 1 existing worldwide.

No. 1. "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" "Master Wu" Wooden Movie Prop. Price: US$104,500.95
In "The LEGO Ninjago Movie," co-produced by the United States and Denmark in 2017, the antique shop owner (played by Jackie Chan) holds a wooden Master Wu minifigure and begins to tell children a great legendary story. This wooden Master Wu, which appears weathered and full of aging marks, is one of only four such movie props in the entire world!

However, some toy enthusiasts might wonder why a wooden minifigure, of which there are four globally, would be more expensive than a precious metal C-3PO or R2-D2, of which there is only one. Let's start with the quantity: from a post by LEGO Group Creative Director Simon Lucas, we know that LEGO made a total of four. However, we only know that Simon owns one, or that Jackie Chan held one in the movie; we don't know where the other three are. Coupled with the unique wood grain variations from handmade production, strictly speaking, each one is unique. Additionally, factors such as its appearance in the movie and the endorsement of a major actor contribute to this wooden Master Wu having such an astonishing value!

The Dreamy No. 0: Jupiter, Juno, Galileo LEGO Minifigure. Price: US$2,090,000,000.95
On August 5, 2011, NASA's Jupiter exploration mission, the Juno spacecraft, officially launched, reaching Jupiter's orbit in July 2016. Interestingly, the Juno spacecraft carried three mini-passengers: LEGO minifigures of Jupiter, Juno, and Galileo! They are absolutely worthy of the title "the LEGO minifigures that traveled the farthest!" While their size is the same as regular LEGO minifigures, the material used is space-grade aluminum. From left to right in the image below are Jupiter (holding a lightning bolt accessory), Juno (holding a magnifying glass), and Galileo (with Jupiter and telescope accessories).

Data indicates that these three LEGO minifigures, crafted from the same grade of aluminum used in space shuttles, cost approximately US$5,000 each. However, when factoring in the exploration mission and the hypothetical costs of retrieving them from Jupiter and bringing them back to Earth, the total becomes an astonishing astronomical figure of US$2.2 billion. It's worth noting that a second set of these minifigures exists on Earth, made to prevent damage.
