Renowned Korean collectibles maker Blitzway is teaming up with 5PRO STUDIO to release a stunning new piece from the beloved anime series "Inuyasha." Joining their 1/6th Ultimate Masterpiece line is the titular hero himself, Inuyasha, captured in a dynamic 1/6 scale diorama statue. The piece is slated for a Q3 2022 release with a suggested retail price of $949 USD.
Created by the legendary Rumiko Takahashi, the manga "Inuyasha" first debuted in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" back in 1996, eventually spanning 56 volumes. The story follows Kagome Higurashi, a modern-day schoolgirl who is transported 500 years into Japan's Sengoku period, where she encounters the sealed half-demon, Inuyasha. Initially hot-tempered, aggressive, and proud, the 15-year-old-appearing Inuyasha seeks the Shikon Jewel to become a full-fledged demon. His personality gradually softens as he joins Kagome on a quest to recover the scattered jewel shards.
The "1/6th Ultimate Masterpiece Inuyasha" statue stands at an impressive 71 cm (approx. 28 inches) tall. The diorama is based on the iconic scene where Inuyasha defeats one of the very first demons he encounters: the Mistress Centipede. The statue captures Inuyasha with a triumphant expression, wielding his massive demon sword, Tetsusaiga. His signature, magically-imbued Robe of the Fire-Rat is sculpted with dynamic folds, shading, and a sense of motion, while his flowing silver hair and the Beads of Subjugation around his neck add to the overall dynamic feel. The massive blade comes with both a translucent flame effect and a blue slashing effect piece to convey the speed and power of his attack, perfectly recreating his awe-inspiring victory over the centipede demon!
